We now share with you a project of architecture with marble which we have undertaken with much dedication and passion…
One of the materials which is coming through most strongly in all kinds of indoor designs this season is marble….
There are many architecture publications which concur that marble is in fashion and is a trend for 2017. It is…
At Mármoles Mabello, we have had the pleasure of being able to collaborate in the building of the new La Fe Hospital, in Valencia, making the main countertops of the hospital entrance in ivory cream marble, and we have also made the main altar for the chapel possessed by the centre. We used white Carrara marble for this work. This type of stone was the favourite of the sculptor Michelangelo, who used it in his famous work “David”.
In this video, we can see the process followed in making a capital of composite order. Very similar to Corinthian capitals, they differ in the volutes at the top, which form part of the Ionic order.
Dimensions: 1.5 x 1.2 x 0.7 metres, in Ulldecona stone.
First, following the rules of Vignola, the capital is drawn in 3D for subsequent mechanisation at the CNC workstation. Then, using templates, all the details of the capital are prepared and design. Finally, the faces are picked so as to yield a bush hammered finish.
Samples of crests made by Mármoles Mabello. On the left, the crest of Valencia C.F. made with Borriol stone. On the right, the crest of l’Orxa in black granite. Dimensions 2000×2000 mm.
When we set to work on a façade, first of all we prepare images of the final result to show the customer. Once accepted, we proceed to make it, working meticulously so as to achieve surprising results.
